Developing Conference Materials for Remaking Cities
The first Remaking Cities Conference was held in 1988 with the goal of slowing the decline of industrial cities in North America and Europe. The Remaking Cities Congress, held more than twenty-five years later, aimed to assess change, share best practices, and craft new agendas for post-industrial cities. We were tasked with developing the communication materials for the 2013 Congress; to provide direction for the future through the familiar stylings of the initial Conference.
The original Conference logo, with minor updates, was balanced by more contemporary elements in the development of a suite of communication materials. The suite included a program book, delegate book, stage design, way finding, and website. We were also invited to facilitate of the five work session themes: The 21st Century as an Innovation Hub.
